Bronwyn Wallis began playing the harp
after receiving a scholarship to Churchlands Senior High
School. After completing her Bachelor of Arts at UWA, she
began studying classical performance at the W.A
Conservatorium of Music. During Bronwyn's studies she participated
in award winning chamber groups and premiered new compositions
by Western Australian composers. Bronwyn completed a Bachelor
of Music at UWA majoring in harp performance under the
direction of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra’s
Principal Harpist, Sarah Bowman. In 2004 Bronwyn performed
with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra for Opera Australia’s
acclaimed production of Wagner’s Ring Cycle. In 2005
Bronwyn performed in the USA and Europe with the Singapore
Symphony Orchestra. Bronwyn performs regularly with the
Western Australian Symphony Orchestra and has done so since
2002.
Bronwyn is now working as a freelance harpist in Perth
performing at corporate and private functions as well as
orchestral, solo, and chamber music concerts. Bronwyn is
employed by several schools in Perth as their harp tutor.
