Experienced pianist, Joshua Crothers a graduate of the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts, has teamed up with some of Perth's best up and coming jazz players to form jazz trio Trilogy.
Josh has completed a Bachelor of Music (Jazz) with Honours. While performing at public venues and gigging with funky local Perth band, Limbic Motion, Josh teaches piano in schools such as John Curtin Senior High School and Mater Dei Catholic College.
Josh was a member of the West Australian Youth Jazz Orchestra (WAYJO) in 2002 and 2003, under the direction of Roger Garood.
In the year 2004, Josh played at the Perth Jazz Society with a “hard-bop” jazz group called, One Five Nine. This performance included one of Josh’s original tunes. This performance followed a previous appearance at the Hyde Park Hotel for a student talent night.
Josh also currently plays keyboards in local musician Nathan Gaunt’s band and piano with jazz vocalist Brenda Lee.
