S H E NA N D O A H is a classical piece
of music performed by numerous orchestras around the world.
The piece was beautifully written by the composer, capturing
the essence of each and every instrument in the orchestra.
All the instruments combine to make a beautiful, perfect
sound that came from the soul and enters into all of those
who listen.
When the two musical lives if Craig Vergara and Sam Graham
combined, the essence of
S H E N A N D O A H was present as every song was played
with their own unique interpretation, and from the soul.
With the combination of numerous instruments such as acoustic
guitar, trumpet, electric guitar, African djembe, classical
piano, keyboards, clarinet, bass guitar, percussion kit and
vocals, their ability to create a sound and piece that is
stylish and from the soul is their unique quality. This naturally
leads to creating a vibe that all audiences will appreciate.
Craig VERGARA was introduced to music at the age of 7 learning
the piano. The following years lead to singing in a choir,
starting the clarinet, percussion and saxophone and finally
the guitar. Finishing 1997 with the highest practical TEE
score in WA, he was accepted into the Western Australian
Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). He then moved to studying
which lead to him earning the position as the ’Specialist
Music’ Teacher at Kinross College. Whilst teaching
Craig was creating numerous originals pieces and performing
private and corporate functions.
Sam GRAHAM was introduced to the organ at 7 years of age.
Before ending primary school Sam started the trumpet, and
after completing year 12, was accepted into WAAPA. He has
completed a bachelor of music which, together with his vast
practical experience has earned him the title of one of Perth’s
most educated and talented Jazz trumpeters. Getting introduced
to the drums, piano accordion, bass, piano and singing during
high school, Sam is highly proficient at all these instruments
performing live with each instrument with various ensembles.
In 96 Sam joined an Irish band by the name of Fiddler, later
to be called The Sham who have performed in most Irish pubs
in Perth over the last decade, recorded three albums, spent
a year touring Ireland and South East Asia and making regular
trips to Singapore over 2003-07.
The two musical lives came together in 2004 to perform at
all the major corporate functions for the FREMANTLE FOOTBALL
CLUB (DOCKERS), including their season launch, players review,
club champions night and accompanying Luke McFarlane. In
addition to these performances, the two also combined for
