VAMP is an energetic, sassy, all girl Perth rock cover band.
Between these four girls, they have many years of professional experience, appearing all around Australia and overseas.
A fully rounded sound comes from these girls – expertly squeezing every last ounce of potential from their instruments. As well as the mainstay instruments of drums, bass and rhythm/lead guitar, they add the extra dimensions of keyboards and expert harmonies.
With a strong and versatile voice up front,Vamp will take you on a memorable musical journey, covering the 70s, 80s and 90s with style and apparent ease. Vamp may even throw in an original every now and then. Not only is the music excellent, but the stage presence of these girls is amazing.

Janis holds a Bachelor Of Music Education and has worked in schools and performed professionally throughout Australia and London for the past fifteen years.
Janis also writes scripts and music for plays. Janis has worked with numerous bands, performed in two long running musicals and records as a session musician.

My first live music experience was watching my brother's mate play bass. Later on, I owned that bass. I kept it a while before I gave it a try. Now I'm hooked.
I'll give anything a go, so I've played rhythm guitar, piano & keys as well as bass. Most line ups have been blues, country rock, big ballads and originals.
Influences have been everything - even the bad stuff makes you know what you don't want to do! I love being lost in the moment and it spins me out how stuff just arrives in your head.

As a child in primary school, Karina was rejected from taking the guitar class (apparently she held the guitar the wrong way!), so, at 9 years old, she began classical training.
This gradually transformed into a passion for all forms of guitar including classical, bluegrass, fusion, progressive rock, folk music, heavy metal and good old rock and roll. Some major influences are: Yes, Rush, Iron Maiden, Robin Trower, David Gilmore, Wishbone Ash, Uriah Heep, Joe Satriani and Carlos Santana.
Playing in bands since the age of fifteen, Karina has played in many (and varied) bands, including supporting acts to Hoodoo Gurus, Hunters & Collectors and Canned Heat.

Rhona first became interested in playing the drums at the age of 12, when she got the opportunity to meet the drummer of her favourite band QUEEN.
Since moving from the U.K, Rhona has played in a variety of bands including, rock, glam rock, dance/funk, cabaret and original. Having played in mostly male dominated groups, VAMP is the first all female band Rhona has been in.
