Sambalicious has been kickin around since October 2004,
and since then they've been rocking the parties and
creating the vibes at some big gigs around town. Sambalicious
are the in-house band at the "Latin Quarter" -
the Deen Hotel's fiery Thursday night Brazilian party,
pulling more than over 450 people through the door on a
regular weekly basis since October 2004. Sambalicious headlined
for the Sydney Brazil Carnaval in 2007, The Latin American
Cultural Carnaval 2005, 2006 and 2007, the Busselton Beach
Festival and have performed to support a variety
of National and International artists such as Cafe del
Mar's Jose Padilla and legendary James Reyne.
Sambalicious are regular
performers at corporate and private functions, weddings,
you name it.
The bands strength is in their ability to engage with
any audience - young and old and the obvious enjoyment
which they get from performing. They do this through playing
a range of Brazilian tunes, brazilian versions of popular
tunes and straight out party standards. Sambalicious band
plays a fine selection of the best music that Brazil has
to offer, ranging from sultry Bossa Novas and Forrós
to funky Brazilian Samba-rock and Reggae. Sambalicious
also pump up the volume on the drums with a huge percussion
set of loud, tight, Brazilian Carnival Drumming.
