ALIDA WRIGHT JAZZ DUO
Alida Wright is without doubt one of Perth’s most new
and exciting vocalists.
Originally from from outback NSW, Alida’s style
is predominately bluesy, soulful lament but also encompasses everything from
jazz through to gospel, funk and beyond.
At the age of seventeen, Alida’s passion for singing developed when
she became the proud owner of a Morris Minor 1000 with no stereo. She began
her professional musical career also in unusual circumstances for a jazz
singer, when she won the ‘Best New Talent’ award, at the Derby
Country Music Festival (2000) in northern Western Australia.
Alida is available
as a jazz duo, trio, quartet, quintet and is suitable for all events including
weddings and corporate functions.
