ALLIANCE BARBERSHOP QUARTET

Alliance Barbershop Quartet formed in 2004 after the members got together during a long weekend to see how their voices would blend. Bass singer Danny made the trip all the way from his home town Canberra to Perth and soon discovered it was well worth the effort as much fun was had by all.
After only three rehearsal weekends, the quartet won the 2004 AAMBS Western Region quartet contest with a record high score.
Later in the year the group traveled to Christchurch, New Zealand to take part in the Pan Pacific Barbershop Quartet Competition against an international field of groups from New Zealand, Hawaii, the West Coast of America, Japan and other parts of Australia. Alliance were awarded the Silver Medal.

In October of 2005 Alliance reached what has been described as the pinnacle of the barbershop harmony art form in Australia when they were awarded first place gold medal in the Open Quartet Contest at the biennial AAMBS National Convention. Since then Alliance have continued to delight audiences all over Australia with the tight harmonies and dynamic delivery of their classic vocal harmony repertoire.
