The Roast

The Roast are a smokin' band who are the only one of its kind in the Perth music scene. The band has a strict policy of playing funky music that has to make you dance. The Roast is made up of the hottest instrumental talent in the west with frontman Jono McNiel bringing the house down at every show. The Roast formed in 2004 and have since developed an extensive repertoire of funk material with a song-list that features music from greats such as James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Jamiroquai, Prince, Tower of Power, Maceo Parker and The Meters. The band also perform a series of original tunes in the same style.

The Roast have served long time residencies at the Funk Club - Leederville, and the Universal Bar - Northbridge.
